Having made my first trip to Philly two weeks ago, I must agree that it is indeed rad. I only really saw Fairmont Park, as I was there for roughly 12 hours, but the view of the city from the water down by Boathouse Row was amazing. Of course, buildings taller than 10 stories still amaze me due to my lack of exposure to them.

Philly's skyline is cool because it's entirely new. For, like, hundreds of years Philly had a stupid law that no building could be taller than the hat on the William Penn statue standing on the spire of City Hall, which is a beautiful structure, but was built ages ago and is only a handful of stories tall. They threw that out in the eighties and all the tall buildings sprang up at once (including Liberty 1 and 2, the shining blue spikes that OWN the skyline).
