Just curious as to what the general consensus was here. IMO they're not nearly as well known as they should be.

I'm sure the majority of people on the forum have at the least heard of them. Last.Fm shows them as having over a million plays which is far more than many other bands. I guess the fact that the majority of their songs are like 1:30 - 2:00 long kinda contributes to this though. >_>

I kind of meant who here liked/disliked them. They're a decently popular band but I still think more people should be hearing about them.

The only PD album I really like is 'Terrifyer', which is probably one of my most listened to albums (especially when exercising). 'Prowler In The Yard' is pretty cool but I'm not so much into their other stuff. What I heard of the new album hardly even sounded like grind. o.O

Their new album arguably is a bit slower than their previous ones. I like it a lot though.

I still like their new album ,although, it is true that the new album does have somewhat less impact after repeated listens. Awesome band, all of their albums are some of the best grindcore you'll ever listen to. I also agree that they need more popularity.

No. Theres MUCH MUCH better grindcore.

There's nothing interesting to me at all about their music, it's ok I guess, Agoraphobic Nosebleed and Circle of Dead Children are definitely better.

Isnt ...Nosebleed better? I listened to the new Pig Destroyer and it is just a blend of death, thrash and a little grindcore. Nothing amazing.

all thier songs are to short. what the hell is the matter with grindcore bands?

I hate most modern grindcore. It all sounds so...meaningless. It's not hated now like it was back in the day; now it's accepted in the mainstream. Now these bands have no purpose. How can you create a CD full of anger and rage when you've never been given a reason to hate?
