People hated Ghost the moment they existed. I actually still kinda enjoy Ghost, but that 2nd album of theirs is nothing but zzzzzzzzzzzzzz
To be honest, I posted this topic when I was a little (read: very) drunk. I wouldn't be so obtuse as to tar all American metalheads with the same brush. However, I still stand by my original assertion that if someone calling themselves a Black Metal fan actually cried because they got some pig's blood on them, then that is LAME AS FUCK. Was anyone here at this show?

They don't look "black metal" at all. In any case, Ghost (and Blur) make better music than any black metal band you can possibly name.

I completely disagree. I think the first album is pretty cool but the second is really where they came into their own. There's a big influence from classic rock bands like The Beatles and The Doors and in my opinion the whole thing just works. It's not really metal, but they've got a really cool vibe. I think a lot of people see their imagery and dismiss them as a gimmick band, but they really make the cheesy B-movie Satanism part of the music.

I like their outfits about 10 times more than I like their actual music. Must get hot as fuck in there though.
Despite the whining, the "I'm sure they cried, because Americans know fuck-all about Black Metal" option is currently the runaway winner, hahaha.
