does anyone have an opinion on what they consider to be the best pixies album?

i would have to go with doolittle.

but they are all so good and so different.

I haven't got them all But I do find them hard to get into, I only really like a few songs of theirs...

that's natural
particularly if, say, the only pixies album you've heard is surfer rosa. that album is very raw.

I have the pixies @ the BBC! I also have one other album with a picture of a mans hairy back on it! Or that may be the BBC one

the cd with the dude with a hairy back on the cover is an ep called come on pilgrim.

Is that a good or a bad one? I got the BBC'sone on the premise that it would be a kind of "best of" thing..

come on pilgrim is a good one

pixies @ the bbc isn't exactly a "best of", but it is a compilation of sorts...and it has some awesome pixies tracks on it.

Cool, reccomend what you consider the best ones and I'll listen to them on repeat till i like them. That usually works!

'monkey gone to heaven', 'is she weird', and 'hey' would be great tracks to start with...

i just realised that the cover of pixies @ the bbc also has a man with a hairy back on it. this time it's an extreme closeup though...lol
