Please give me some opinions on this mix.

This is a local metal band I've been recording, and though I have yet to track their guitar solos or vocals due to delays getting them back in the studio, I'm trying to get a jump on things by getting a mix ready up to that point.

What do you guys think of the mix so far?

What could a boost though, is that hihat... don't you think? at some points the OH's really come through, and at some point they dont...

Furthermore, nice and clean mix... everything is clear, toms and kick sound good!

Unfortunately I didn't mic the hats, I'll probably need to do some automation on the overheads. Sometimes I just let 'em go and sometimes I'll end up drawing in automation for hours trying to keep everything where I want it. That's probably what I need to do on this mix though, haha.

I dig it. It packs a far better punch than their previous version of it. As stated before, its pretty clear and crunchy. About the only thing I'd change is maybe getting a bit more "punch" from the kick drum.
