I have a lot of experience with Rectifiers. I've owned a Mesa Dual, Single and Roadster. Out of these I would say the Roadster sounded the best. If you asking for a "recto-tone" I will tell you that there are many tones a Recto can do. F.ex. Foo Fighters use Rectifiers. That being said, there are like ten different rectifiers that all sound a bit different. A pedal will not sound like a Recto. You need that Mesa Recto power amp for that tone. It's a must.

Anyways the nu metal sound can be achieved by gain at 6, bass at 3-4, middle at 6, treble at 6.5 and presence on 6. Those will get you that "RECTO TONE" (on a real mesa recto) people seem to talk about.
