level? I humbly request guidance from more experienced folk here on this forum. Here is the link http://dl.dropbox.com/u/7101794/Royal%20Masque%204%20rough.mp3
I have recorded three other songs with varied success (royal masque on reverbnation). I really need some tips/criticism and all help is appreciated.
I am using reaper as my daw, lepou legion ampsim, red wirez impulse (orange vintage 30), amplitube 3 for bass, ezdrummer/dfh for drums, waves c1 comp on guitars, nomad factory multi max mastering/eq on master bus and waves L3 limiter on master bus.
I feel my main problem is finding a good bass sound and eq for the drums, but I am sure you all will spot plenty of holes to fill (lol).
Thanks in advance.
Update: Thanks Jack, here is a revised copy with your input. I did my best to eq the drums for some more oomph (though I can't eq the kick e.c.t separately which is killing me I think). I adjusted the bass tone for some more low end and bumped the lows on the master eq.

Aside from the drum arrangement itself, what would be the next best solution for programmed drums? I am getting the feeling that ezdrummer is gimping me severely. Also, I could be mistaken, but there seem to be masking issues during some of the passages? Ive tried eq'ing the instruments so they breath, but I feel like they are still fighting a bit.
