Pleeease rate this sound

I feel like the whole idea would come together if there was a bass in the track. I don't hear anything wrong with the guitars myself.

Actually just re-read your post and it says there is a bass so I would go back and look at the bass. I couldn't hear it or feel it so it was non-existant to me.

Drums might need to come up a litlle but not much, it felt pretty balanced over all to me.

Aye, there is a bass :)
You actually can't hear it itself, but I it is there and I thought it's doiing its job. Withthout it the low-end is really missing.
It's a bit a problem of the Bb Tuning, that the bass is really low and you can not really hear it itself in the mix.

Any suggestions? I think the low-end is there and I don't need to push the bass on that freqs. Maybe just a bit brighter bass?

Thanks for response.

Yeah try to find those higher punchy freq, start looking around 700hz. If you have a sub like me in your setup turn it off and just reference your upper monitors till you hear it sitting nicely in the mix. Then I always turn them back on and check the low end again.

Another trick might be to highpass on your master fader around 100hz or so just to make sure you can still hear the bass and the kick. That way its not all sub frequencies that you're hearing.

The overall mix is okay. I think the first thing I would change (if I wanted to improve this) would be to work on the guitar tone. It would give you a more professional sound. To me it just sounds like a modeler.

As stated previously, the bass is the thing that will make or break this mix. Having a bass that better gels with and compliments the guitars will vastly improve this mix. That will subsequently warm up the guitars a little bit by its compliment and really make this mix bump! Definitely dig the whammy drop riff, too!
