All the recording tones I get with my POD sound (hard to find a word to describe it but) boxy or attic-y and hide in the mix. Is there are way to make it sound clearer and more professional sounding or is that just part of recording with a POD?

Thanks, I've been messing around with them and only have one problem so far. How much distortion should I use on my PODxt? Sometimes it gets to gainy and clips a lot.

Also, what are some good impulses?

I have the same problem. I hear about people using the big bottom patch a ton. But when I use it, it always sounds super scooped and not very in your face. I even take out a ton of the bass, some highs, and run the mids really high.
