The lyrics to a song Im working on calle "The Last Love"

Her black cloak
Her pale hands
Her lethal stride
Ive glimpsed them before

Her cold touch
Her breathless voice
Her eternal smile
Tonight I will long for them no more

The moon is her face
The night is her body
The trees are her hands
The Earth is her womb
The rocks are her bones
The fire her eyes
She is our world!
She is demise!

Come to me again
Let us dance into oblivion
The earth reclaims my body
As my soul departs with death

As we dance, higher and higher
(I hold her) she holds my heart, it burns like fire
Beyond the stars, past creation
There lies our destination

Away from the world infernal
A temple of love eternal
On the altar of damnation
I find salvation

It is done
We are one
We see without eyes
We are lifes demise

The moon is our face
The night is our body
The trees are our hands
The Earth is our womb
The rocks are our bones
The fire our eyes
We are damnation!
We are damnation!

Very good!

here's a piece i did pretty recently. whether i'll use it, or not, in a Darcroven song in the future is still in the air. i call this one "The Last Supermassive Black Hole"

born from the final demise
of it's exuberant source
collapsed inward from itself
nothing can escape the vacuum
a vortex of cataclysmic proportions

the last of it's kind
from a breed of trillions
each larger than a thousand suns
serving it's own purpose of order through chaos

with it's death comes a new era of darkness
where strides mere grains of sand
and for the time given to them
they shall reign supreme
in a universe spent

thanks!! the inspiration came after i read quite a bit on how the universe will end; after all the stars have died, only black holes will remain for a certain time. and when the last supermassive black hole dies, the universe will be almost empty, save for miniscule particles scattered throughout the nearly-empty universe. at least, that's the theory.

so why are you here?
I was reading some poems. Looked to me like most people were in fact taking this thread seriously too, which is why I found your comment about having it deleted to be rather childish and stupid. Also, I was unaware you had some sort of unwritten rule that I wasn't allowed to read this thread without contributing.

So here's a poem, about no one in particular.

Roses are red
Violets are black
You'd look better
With a knife in your back

Heat death. It's gonna suck.

I like that alot. Ive been thinking about writing a song along those lines for quite a while now, never got around to it though. Well done!

Another one by me

Mankind, longing, eternally grasping for the skyes
The silent trees, black silhouettes gently caressing the heavens, comforting her

Frozen tears fall, clattering around the world of man. Drops of sorrow from the heavens, shed by our mother, for her greatest children, for those who choose to dwell in darkness.

The fallen tears, a cry of anguish, a wordless lament for beauty drowned in blood, love slain by greed, harmony divided and sold piece by piece.

Only ice can stop the flow of grieve. Come now cold, freeze this dying passion, let the dusk bring snow and piece, let the dawn bring the thawing and an end to mother natures tears.

Voicing triviality in the cosmic scheme
Searching for a maxim of existence
A pursuance of meaning clouded in inequity
Which star is mine to behold?

Time altered the perception and the frequency of foresight
As I'm drifting aimlessly in search of union
Behind my mask of vivacity
Is this how I'll be remembered?

Exsistance and time
The recoiling stir of humanity
A tide that changes principles and perception
Disentegrating calamity into resolve

A new dawn has risen
Molding assurance from doubt
Now the canvas is again wiped clean
The bastion of my fortitude holds strong

I won't be ensared by fate
This rune is mine to carve

from one of the song's i've recently done, this one's called "Insomniazone" (i believe i posted it here on this forum some months ago)

behold!
veil of obsidian ascending
down the cavernous void i plummet
figures mishappen stand waiting
for the right time

what horrors lie within
only i possess the key
to finding them
yet they find me first

these shades, only familiar to me
products of twisted grey matter
somehow, it all connects
an uneasy sense of complacency

and the lights flicker off
my presence catches their attention
their semblances hideous disfigurements
self-submerged in trepidation

no longer can i deny this
there is a sinister agenda
as they exit, frame right
to do the deed unto the frail

incited to a sentient state
in the hours nocturnal
still not one with the absolute
the night still young

So I am bored and thought maybe I'd share some stuff here as well, though my style varies from most already posted. These are meant to be lyrics for a song and I wrote them a while ago. So long ago in fact that when I wrote them I was unaware that Death had a song by the same name. They are still some of my favorite lyrics that I have written though. But enough of the build-up...I GIVE YOU:

A Moment of Clarity

Stopped
In between a lifetime of torment,
and an hour of pain.
The man looks to the sky,
gazing past
a shower of rain.
Looking up into the vast
empty frontier
He mumbles a quiet prayer
to see if anyone hears.

He's lived a life of sorrow,
full of years of regret,
scattered days of depression,
sum of the life he's left.
His eyes have no glisten,
They're only dull and colorless,
He solemnly drags his feet,
Living emotionless.

He's long since grown numb,
now left with only dread,
he exists as a recluse,
he wishes for an end.
This world has broken him,
It's been all too cruel,
His life experiences never tell him,
what it is he can do.

But on this dark rainy day,
A hint of something enters him
It's a presence of an unknown feeling,
he suddenly stops and almost grins,
He glances up toward the clouds,
And asks his god if this is real,
He asks his god what this is,
what is it that he feels?

He waits a second for his answer,
but he receives none,
The feeling slips through his fingers,
and he knows that he is done.
He hangs his head and closes his eyes,
he silently moans in pain,
He slowly moves on into the darkness,
and continues to walk in the rain.
