Mix is very nice. String part isn't really very stringy though...you can really tell it's fake, try writing some more interesting lines instead of the strings following the root notes. Work around arpeg's or something.
But other than that i thought it sounded just about ready for kelly clarkson

I think there is too much reverb/ambience on all of the instruments.

I can barely hear a bass.

The intro/verse is faaaaar too long. "Don't bore us, get to the chorus" is more true than ever (and your chorus instrumental part sounds much cooler than the stuff before).

Strings are generally a good idea, these just don't sound any good.

You are missing the most important thing in a pop song: good vocals

thanks for the feedback guys. really appreciate it.

I'll cut down the intro, rework the string section, see what i can do about the reverb/ambience issue.

And yes, i need some pop vocals.... unfortunately I can't sing lol.
