yo...this band I worked with just sent me the link to this video....not bad I think (I didn't do the video, just the music).

bear in mind...they made this video themselves, it's not a high budget label production or anything.

also: make sure to switch to HD

'poppunk, alternative, radiorock, metal, emo, christian' - Wow, they've nailed just about every genre buzzword to help get them radio-play, hahah.

It's good stuff man, I remember when you posted it on that thread of mine in Rate my mix. Gave those Slates a bit of a work-out?

I have to say, these euro chicks tend to have some pretty odd way of enunciating words in English, don't they? It always sounds somewhat 'closed', or forced.

yeah....heard this accent gets them laid in other parts of the world ;)
there's actually loads of original drums in there, but you're right, some Slate also (on the snare only though...mainly the Z4/room).

I came up with these buzzwords, cause I've no idea what it is, lol...
you're right, I couldn't remember whether you had yours here or in the RMM...gonna post mine there then as well.

I'm pretty sure just being singers, hot & women would generally get them laid anywhere in the world :D

I just always wonder whether the accent would limit international appeal, given that I'm working with some artists from the EU now, and wonder how likely it is they'd ever be played here or the US. The world's been conditioned to think of US accents as 'normal'. Even here if we get some dude or chick singing in an Australian accent, it's like they're singing some goddamn outback redneck anthem, so our guys tend to work pretty hard getting their US singing accents on par.

haha, yeah, last time I recorded an australian band it was me and a scot telling the singer when he sounded to 'stralian...
I guess I couldn't do that anymore....talked to James the other day (phone) and he told me I sound australian myself...then like a week ago on tour, meeting the lads from Alestorm..they again said I have an australian accent...probably spending too much time with my mate Bren, lol.

Haha you poor bastard. I wouldn't wish this accent on anyone (apart from South Africans and New Zealanders, to whom it would be a vast improvement).

Anyway, didn't mean to derail your thread.

Discuss away guys!

Actually a strange accent gets you noticed and recognized more quickly.

I do agree about the vocals sounding forced. As if the singer is singing at the top of her capacity/ability and doesn't have a lot of experience.

Just listening to it on my laptop, but the guitars sound too edgy for me and not round enough for this radio-rock-style. Could be that with proper bass it sounds better.

The song itself is pretty good!

Well this sounds great
Anyway LAsse I tell ya that to me you got the typical "german boy speaking english" accent, I don't hear australian accent there LOL.

thanks.
when have you talked to me last? :)

not saying I sound exactly like I'm australian, of course you can tell that I'm european...it's just the way I pronounce words apparently.

hehe, first of all, good job producing this stuff. i think you did the best you could get out of a band like that :)
what i dont like is the lack of thightness in playing esp. caught my ear in the last part at 3.10 i think...
the guitar on the left is somehow distracting, as if the player couldnt really push down the strings...

all in all cool stuff, but the band is far far from being a "great" paramoreclone, hehe.
your talent shines through tho! and thats what makes a great producer!

btw. when do amateurbands start developing their own ideas ? these videos are always clichee... gonna be posting a clichee video of a band i did recently,
that is also gonna be clichee... i cant really understand why bands still do that.

the production is awesome, the music not that much, the video is ok.

The singer sounds like she's a very small person....I can't help but somehow I hear some chipmunkish vibe in her voice....
does that sound mean?

The production is very nice, sounds very good to me.

The video on the other hand is pretty idiotic, to be honest. It would have been better if they would have just focused on the band and nothing else, but with that video it was hard to take the band's music seriously. It's not of your concern of course, just some thoughts.

great production but the singer def sounds like a cross between a chipmunk and a porn actress.
