Yes. never use it. Probably going to sell it pretty soon... it's been collecting dust over the past year.
Naturally, you're not going to listen to 60 gigs at a time, but there's no telling what song you'll want to hear at any given moment. Why would I want to pick and choose what i'm carrying around when I can just have nearly my entire CD collection in my pocket? I just dont see the point of having a 1 - 4 gig mp3 player (like the Creative ones) unless its for exercising purposes, or something like that. I like how Creative's transfer works, but iTunes is a small price to pay for what you can hold on an iPod.
that's because ipods use a specific format. ie, you can't put any random audio format on there. major detriment.
Ken, it seems to me like youre just anti-iPod. I would love for there to be a better option in the realm of portable music players, but at this point there isn't. My biggest beef with iPods is that they break down all the time. I've already gone through 2 and i would probably go through more if I felt like dropping more money to get one. I've dealt fine not having a player for a while now, but I do kinda wish another company would come along and say to Apple "thanks for the inspiration, here's how its actually done." But until then...
if you'd read my point number (3?) i think it was, there already are better players than ipoop. have you never heard of Creative Labs? Not to mention that when you buy an ipod, you pay largely for the "apple" name and the fashion statement it's become. not to mention that apple does not make their products durable or with a robust warranty, because they want you to take it on the chin when it breaks.
The only plus I see for Creative is that there is a replaceable battery, which has long been a deficiency of iPods. So far, I haven't had battery problems, but I expect I will at some point, which pisses me off. The iPod will be pretty much useless at that point, as I understand it.
Reeeeeealllly? Sweet. Thanks. I stand corrected. You're like my new best friend, dude.![]()
you must be looking at older modelsre: ipods
you must be looking at older modelsCreative has some bigger capacity models now as well.
I must include my bias (although I'm sure it's clear by now) that I despise Apple and their form before function attitude. Aside from the informed consumer, I would wager easily that the majority of ipod buyers do so because "everyone else has one".
Afaic, I tried various mp3 players and the Ipod is still my #1 choice, regardless of the popularity.I swore they had a 80 and 100gb... might have been Archos. What I do know is that Apple aren't the only ones with that capacity, and certainly aren't the best designed system out there, yet they're the most popular by a landslide!

Yep, iPod. Perfect for taking the bus to school, running errands, taking walks, late night bus rides after drinking, plane/car rides,etc...
