Anyone else heard it yet?

Shapeless was kind enough to provide me with the album, and i think it is absolutely brilliant. It's darker and harder (well, Deep Water isn't at all)...In parts i don't think you could even call it 'trip hop' anymore, it sounds kind of like experimental/prog rock - i can even sense a slight Radiohead influence, but that may be just me.. I definitely think this may be their best effort yet.. Although i may be in a minority of people who think this.

This year may actually entirely pwn last year in terms of records released.

I got mine off mininova the other day. Does your copy have the silent last few seconds on a few of the songs? It sounds as if it has been cut short. The running times are right, it's just cut short. It's at 220kbs so its still not bad quality. I've listened to it 3 times so far. It's still sinking in but I love it so far. Your right about leaning towards more prog.

i absolutely love the band's previous recordings and had very high expectations for this one. on the first few listens i didn't find it engaging. it's more down tempo than the other albums and just doesn't get all that interesting. it's by no means a poor album, of course, but after so many years i was waiting for something more than a stripped down version of their older material.
