Post Your cd Haul 2005?

Over the past few days

Blut Aus Nord - Memoria Vetusta I: Fathers Of The Icy Age (Yeah, about fucking time)
Inverted - There Can Only Be One (Blandest of the bland swedish death)
Lemming Project - Extinction
Loudblast - Sublime Dementia (Worst band name in existance)
Sacrilegium - Wicher
Satanic Warmaster - Carelian Satanist Madness
Sinister - Cross The Styx
Sinister - Hate

whatever you call it, it wasn't nearly as good as Sweet Vengeance IMO.

Metal Disc pulled through on their backorder and sent me my Deathspell Omega CD.

Doubt if I'll ever get the other two Primordial albums 'Imrama' and 'A Journey's End'. That's the second time i've been gypped out of those.

Thats your opinion.

I didn't say it was good or bad, I said it isn't Death Metal nor is it Thrash Metal. Those two genres are generally solidly defined, and because of that, classifying bands in either or both genres has nothing to do with opinion. The band's music does not fit the definitions of either genre.

just thought i would add a few cds i just bought. This Morning i bought all 4 Atreyu Albums..... Visions, Fractures in the Face of your Porcelain Beauty, Suicide Notes and Butterfly Kisses, The Curse.

Im interested what would you call it hardcore? Just like you were saying
a little bit ago about how Operferblut wasn't that raw? What can be rawer
black metal one guy with a guitar and a four track machine? Just interested
in your opinion. You kind of remind of Dan from Abyss records in your musical
opinions.

Being on backorder sucks. I got put on backorder for Primordial - Spirit the Earth Aflame (finally gotta get the original) by Relapse, and it was a sale item in their clearance sale. I don't think I'll ever be getting it. If I do get it, I wonder if I will get it for the sale price. It's kind of odd to be put on backorder for a sale item, anyways.

Nightrage is just another Melodeath band, which is more akin to a tainted form of Power Metal than Thrash Metal or Death Metal. And if you're talking about Opferblut, the Satanic Warmaster album, just listen to Strength & Honour and you'll know what I mean when I say it's not very raw at all. Furthermore, I have no idea who Dan from Abyss Records is.

And now for a legitimate contribution to this thread.

Battleroar - Battleroar
Blut Aus Nord - Ultima Thulee
Blut Aus Nord - Memoria Vetusta 1: Fathers Of The Icy Ages
Candlemass - Candlemass (the digipack version with the top notch bonus track, "Mars and Volcanos")
Children Of Maani - The Veil Of Osiris
Doomsword - Resound The Horn
Griffin - Protectors Of The Lair
Jotenheim - Jotenheim
Raven - Rock Until You Drop
Saint Vitus - V
Sourvein - Will To Mangle
Witchfynde - Give 'Em Hell

If anyone wants a brief review of any of these albums, let me know and I'll share my thoughts after I get acquainted with each title.
