haven't quite had the time for swedish in the past few years...been more busy trying to teach my wife russian so she'd understand my parents better. been quite successful too considering she started from scratch and languages aren't quite her thing

Israel has brought jews from all over the world...the biggest immigrations from the soviet union were in the 70's and 90's. currently there are approx. 1 million russian speakers in Israel which is 1 in every 7 israelis.
I came to Israel with my parents 20 years ago.

I am having this exact same problem right now.. though my desk is in the loungeroom my family come out and want to hang out with me but I can't talk to them right now ughh.. so I got distracted and ended up on the kata forum.

well it's been a while since then
the uni assignments are over, I'm studying for another bachelor's degree
i barely finished the first one but my grades were insufficiant to continue for a master's. so I'm getting another bachelor's this time in computer science, much easier and i got some of the credit from my previous studies. so I'll probably finish it next year. got good grades so i still have a shot at a master's degree and have a chance to excel in what i'm really good at (which is programming) instead of being stuck with signal processing and electronics which is clearly not my thing.
As for the privacy of studying, well I've been living with my girlfriend since 2008 and she's my wife now...we got married last november. I don't need privacy and don't have time for it. since I'm working and uni wasn't offering a bachelor's degree based on evening courses, I'm doing a degree in a place that offers me such a thing.
I study 3 times a week. two weekdays from 16:00 to 22:00 and fridays from 8:00 to 15:00. a bit insane but it's managable.
