Hey

I havent been in the power metal genre for so long, so I'm not so into which bands there are.

I have almost destroyed my Power Quest cds cuz of to much listning, :headbang:

So my question, do you Power Quest fans know other bands that sounds almost as good as Power Quest? What do you listen to? I want to find bands that have the same sound.

I just love when its speed, much synth, and high song... plz help me out.

Regards

I'd recommend DragonForce as Power Quest is well some Ex members and Sam Totman was in them for a bit. Also Edguy (Tobi's Vocals FTW), Rhapsody (of fire), firewind and if you like a more medieval touch to your music Blind Guardian + Demons and Wizards.

they were never called power metal...but i'd like to name two bands that aren't that well known - yet released some of the best albums ever:
chroming rose (especially "louis xiv.)
heaven's gate (especially "in control" and "livin' in hysteria")

highland glory made a great contribution to the running wild tribute contest...but i'm not even sure if they made it on the record

Off the top of my head you may like to try out the following too!

Fairytale, Dark Moor, Wuthering Heights and Celesty.

A further dig around my iTunes we have ....

Angel Dust
Arwen
At Vance
Brainstorm
Chinchilla
