Hey guys, it's been a while since I posted a mix. This is a pre-pro song from our upcoming second cd. It's a little rough around the edges. No drum editing other than some of the fast/straight double bass parts. All played to click though, and not horribly.
Guitars were LP (81@18v) into 6505 boosted, w/57. Bass was direct, and a second "direct" signal with MXR pedal for some grit. Snare is the Blacklight Studio snare (thanks dude) and kick if I remember correctly, was a suffocation kick. The rest of the drums are natural. For vocals I used an MXL 990, ya it's shitty, but for some reason it works ok for our vocalist. And he prefers it over a 57/58 which atm is my only other choices.
Hopefully you can take a minute to let me know what you think of not only the recording but the song itself. Thanks.
