Wow. This new album is amazing. I loved their last one, but this is an instant classic. Between this and the new Y&T Frontiers is kicking ass.

Did you hear the new Y&T? I'm really looking forward to Facemelter, even more as it's supposed to be in the Mean Streak/Black Tiger style. I have not enjoyed any of their studio disc since Mean Streak...But the recent live DVD was kick ass.

You're right. The band name is quite lame but the band itself (and almost all their albums) is killer if you're a melodic metal fan.

I had this same problem with Edguy. I remember hearing about them and was like WTF kind of name is that? But once Mandrake came out I decided to give them a chance. Good thing I did.
I also did the same thing with Pretty Maids. I just checked them out this week for the first time and I'm pretty impressed. I like this. I'm going to have to get some of their stuff on my next CD purchase.
I also liked the 2000 realease CARPE DIEM, not as good as their 80's era releases but pretty good IMO.

Yes, I'm listening to it now (a review MP3 version) and it smokes! A little older/wiser/whatever, but it's really energetic and absolutely has that classic Y&T vibe.

I just checked the album, and it's the first time I hear an entire Pretty Maids disc.
Pretty kick-ass if you ask me. Pandemonium is an AMAZING song!! Really worth checking it out!

Everything since 1997 is pretty much in that style, and very good to excellent to great IMO (the best one being Spooked I think):
