Priest win Grammy for Best Metal Performance with "Dissident Aggressor" a song on the '77 album 'Sin After Sin' which got some stage time on their last tour, also on their latest live album 'A Touch of Evil (live)'.

Shame that Nostradamus songs didn't win them anything cos they definitely deserve an award but it's good to see Priest win. Seeing the Metal God in a tux is worth it alone! :D

Grammys mean very little and very rarely actually give due recognition to good music but even so the distinctly non-metal music, little reception for Judas Priest ( :worship: ) and the half empty seats say it all. Poor Rob deserved better. But hey metal fans worldwide don't need awards to know JP's colossal influence...congrats on JP's win :headbang: :kickass:

Nice for the recognition, but very little in meaning.
I mean, who seriously decided, "Yep, that one song from that live album".
It's nothing more than a bunch of suits looking at a list of albums released that year and going, "Yeah, Judas Priest, I have heard of em!"

It certainly has nothing to do with radio play, CD sales, etc, etc.

Well, anyhow, I am just stating the obvious!
