VOODOO CIRCLE

For those of you that dont know a little excerpt from my review....

"This is the new International band from guitarist Alex Beyrodt (Silent Force)! Alex brings with him an all star cast of singers, and musicians that lay out the foundation of this Hard Rock / Melodic Metal release. David Readman (Pink Cream 69, Ex Adagio), Matt Sinner (Primal Fear, Sinner), Mel Gaynor (Gary Moore, Brian May), Jimmy Kresic (one of Germanys most booked keyboardists), and special guest appearances from Doogie White (Rainbow, Yngwie Malmsteen, Cornerstone), Rudi Sarzo (Ozzy Osbourne, Dio, Whitesnake), Norifumi Shima (Concerto Moon), and Richard Andersson (Majestic, Space Odyssey)!"

I am definitely looking forward to hearing this new project! I'd also love to see a tour featuring the first 3 bands you listed in the title!

PRIMAL FEAR + SILENT FORCE + PC69 =:puke:

Ah the joys of smilies. You had me until the last band...

Your loss. David Readman is one of the best hard rock vocalists out there.

Oh for those who cant wait to find a physical copy you can buy the basic album for 8 bucks on amazon.com at the little hyperlink below.

Cheers!

David Readman puzzles me...he has such a fabulous voice but his singing often sounds the same and uninspired...at least to me it does...

I think I agree with you. I definitely felt that way at Prog Power. If felt like he was never really pushing himself, just staying comfortable. I do wonder, however, is it HIM or the material? I really like Pink Cream 69 but I'm not sure if Readman is right for the band. The songs don't really require any phenomenal vocal range or ability in my opinion. I'd like to hear someone like Jeff Scott Soto tackle the same songs and see what would happen.

I dig Readman's voice and very much enjoy PC69. However, their PP performance fell somewhere between uninspired and a completed snoozefest. I didn't see this as Readman's fault, solely. The entire band seemed lethargic and uninterested. If Glenn wants a modern 80s style band to come in and give a great, energetic, get the place crazy performance, he needs to bring in Fatal Smile.

I'd vote for The Poodles.

His PP performance was an utter disappointment for sure! I was close to the stage and he outright looked "high" to me. I may be wrong, but he acted pretty laced with something at the time. He was forgetting lyrics and everything.

Sir Madman... excellent reco. This disc kicks all sorts of ass. Going to buy me a copy as soon as I find a distro that has it.

Thanks! Glad you're enjoying it! NEH Records ( http://www.nehrecords.com ) has the limited digipack for a high price but December 20 (you'll see it under the coming soon section) he is expecting the more cheaper standard jewel case.

Given I avoid digipacks, in much the same way I avoid Pottery Barn catalogs tainted with biological agents, I'll wait for the jewel case. Thanks for the link.
