Title says it. I guess it depends on the size/number of rooms. Just to get an idea let's say control room + live room, 60-80 m² total or basically whatever you got figures for.

Honestly, I don't know if it would be any help, considering you're in the US.. and I guess prices differ a lot depending on the number and quality of the acousticians/studio-designers available. Plus I can only speak of my personal experience with one studio designer - he said one should calculate about 10-20% of the total budget for the design only.
I'm SO happy with someone else doing all the calculating and a big part of the planning because it's just too much for one person

well i have absolutely no artistic taste or vision, nor do i have any acoustic room knowledge, so i'll definitely be doing this in the future once i've made a few more necessary purchases
