Yeah, been writing this track tonight. The mix is rough as fuck, but in terms of the composition, it's all there. The playing is rather sloppy, though, as I was trying to get it all down before I forget it :lol:

I was thinking the final riff was lacking something in the low end, composition-wise, but I don't want to change the bass to mirror the guitars since I thought the contrast between the bass and guitars is a nice change from the 'bass and kick always follow guitar in riffs' of most prog-metal these days. Any suggestions as to how to fill up that space without changing any existing parts?

First time I've used the 'sidechain 60hz sine wave to kick' method to fatten it up, and it seems to work rather nicely, too. The drums are Metal Machine, completely untouched apart from the previously mentioned thing on the kick, and the bass is the Taylor Grind tone for Zombass II. Guitars are TSE X50 :p

Anyway, here it is. Would love your thoughts, guys.
