ProgPower USA IX Roster Announcement....

Way to go Glenn!! It would be cool to include the bands' pic with a 1 minute snippet of a song. A short video would be even better!! That would ease the "Who the fuck is THAT??" syndrome!!

When will next year's Showcase lineup be released??

Chris

Damn, when Glenn says "making their first and only U.S. appearance, all the way from the land down under... Vanishing Point", I will officially lose my mind.

I have been hearing nothing but positive reactions to their much anticiapted new release and Enbrace The Silence was absolutely incredible.

Yeah i know, i took this opportunity to plug one of the bands I have been dying to see.

Anyway, looking forward to the announcement at the end of this years show!!!

I've seen the guys several times live. Whilst being really nice guys, they're pretty boring live. Black Majesty and Eyefear put on a much better live show IMO.

A yard really a'int that much... look a how thin the glass is in the center, I don't think it's any more than about four pints...

I have a better idea for releasing the PP IX roster.

Get Center Stage to invest in a bunch of glasses for yards of beer - like in an Irish Pub, with the literal *yard* of beer to drink.

Place a small piece of paper with the PP IX roster at the bottom of each glass. Sell full yards during the jam session.

First person to drink their yard of beer without spilling it, and still be able to read the roster clearly wins free tickets.

Glenn - Will you also announce the date of the PP XI, or just the bands?

Once the dates are announced, I'll have to scrounge for hotel rooms, just like this time. Of course it will be a LOT worse this next time since several hotels will be closed for remodeling.

I will only announce the bands. Gold Badge holders always get 24 hrs advance notice of the date. Sorry.

From Airplane!
Striker : My orders came through. My squadron ships out
tomorrow, we're bombing the storage depots at
Daiquiri at 18:00 hours. We're coming in from the
North, below their radar.
Elaine : When will you be back?
Striker : I can't tell you that? It's classified.

Please excuse my naivete' but if you book the bands, don't you have to let them know what the dates of the festival are? And if so, will not the dates leak out shortly after your announcement (since people will go to the home pages for the bands and find out the tour date)?

Given THAT, would it be possible to send us GB members a heads up before the concert, so that we can book our hotel rooms in advance?

If you send me an email a day before the announcement, I will be in atl and not near a pc.

The bands probably will not update their websites to show PP till after the announcements. It's not like Glenn hasn't kept stuff mum before. It's just becoming more difficult for him. This past year, the dates were announced after 3 bands had been announced.

Relax the sphincter. The date will not be released by the bands until the Tuesday after the show. Gold Badge holders will get the date on Monday. I don't want mass hysteria with booking in/around the festival weekend as it's already difficult as it is now, muchless with all the uncertainty regarding next year's availabilities.

Relax the sphincter.

Those are words I don't ever want to hear from a guy! (and only from a woman under VERY special circumstances)

But thanks for the update. I just want to avoid the almost certain kookiness involved with finding rooms next year.

...and how crazy is that, we are already getting our agendas in line for 2008 and we are still a month away from THIS year's show...

This makes me jealous that I'm not going to this years show - however, I am almost DEFINITELY going to next years with a friend of mine. We're going to make a road trip out of it.

I cannot wait to see who's playing. I like the idea someone suggested of a picture of the band with a one minute snippet of a song to give those in attendance a taste.

I'm going to be up on this forum all Saturday night and all Sunday waiting for someone to post and inform us of the lineup.

Iron Savior and Nocturnal Rites would be major fan favorites at the next PPUSA, judging by all the great feedback I've been reading here lately regarding both bands. Hail! Whatever the lineup is, it'll definitely rock! Thanks again in advance, Harvester!:kickass::rock::notworthy
