I'm in about 4pm on Thursday, Skeleton Crew flying in too from NY :hotjump: sounds like we need to arrange an OS party...how many can you cook for JD? :tickled: We're staying at the Georgian Terrace Hotel about 1 mile away. Will try to meet as many peeps as possible at the airport for those Marta tips, taxi's or I believe my hotel has a shuttle. So looks like we have a pre-pre party, a pre-party, a dinner party, and just a damn good lot of plain old partying! :hotjump:

Kitty I can cook for up to and over a thousand hahaha tho hopefully I wont have to the prep time would kill me hahaha Partying is what the PP is all about!!! regardless of what kind it is hehehe an OS party sounds good to me

Stride : never heard of them, what do they sound like?

Circus Maximus : mmm they're good at what they do but lack personality IMO, sounds too close to SymphonyX and other well known prog metal bands. Not that I don't like SX, I do, but Circus need an extra plus to separate them from the mass and escape from the "look at me, I can play incredibly technical stuff and I can do 20 minutes long songs!" syndrome.

Manticora : thrashy and proggy power metal from Danmark! Lots of riffs, breaks, dark atmospheres and so on. Hyperion is one of my fave records of the past 5 years! The atypical voice is an acquired taste but I love that. They don't sound like typical euro power metal at all... which is great in my book :)
Dreamscape : ok, a Dream Theater clone in a way but..... better than the actual DT in my opinion (shoot me), very well done melodies. I'm with JD here :loco:

Symphorce : nothing progressive here, I don't know why they were invited at ProgPower but it doesn't matter since they kick ass! Dark and modern power metal full of riffs, the way I like it

Pink Cream 69 : cool band and great singer but I can't see the link between their style and progressive music... catchy anyway!

Orphaned Land : original band with unique melodies and arrangements, nice to see them going overseas!

Conception : one of my favorite prog metal bands, I've never seen them live and probably never will... :yell:

Stratovarius : I used to be a big fan of them, or more precisely of their mid 90's stuff, but I lost interest in Strato since they dropped their "artsy" touch to become a neoclassical and happy metal band, which I'm not too fond of. Still very professional live though.

Angra : good live act, Edu has become a much better frontman through the years, they're still doing great IMO.

Therion : hell yeah, now that's a headliner!

Looks like a killer bill to me, have fun at the show folks

I Love Manticora!!!!! Great Band!!! ... as for Symphorce Nope they aint Prog BUT They are a PowerMetal band and a good one at that! Which I suspect is part of why they were invited to progPOWER! that and Andy made a Big splash with the progpower crowd and inviting Symphorce was a way of having him comeback for the second year in a row .... as for Dreamscape I really hate putting that DT clone lable on them because they are Very good! but they really do sound how DT wish they could
