Now Playing: Psycroptic - "Symbols of Failure" - Missionaries of a Future to Come [02:26/04:18]

Ahh.... It has been leaked...

Misionaries of a future to come >>> Alpha Breed

Different tone with different vocals...

What's all this bashing of the old vocalist for. He ruled. Now it's just the same old thing with a vocalist who doesn't have near as much range. To each their own I suppose.

Awesome, I like the new vocalist much better then the old. Will need to check this out.

I've heard him live, he is just the same but he doesnt have the range of Chalky. How is he better? I know its opinion, but it just doesnt seem to make sense to me.

Anyway doesnt seem much different to the last from what i've heard.

I can't work out what the new guy is singing... on one part of missionaries sounds liek yaayaaaaa....yeeyeeeeyee. seriously. Anyways, whoever disliked the 'riff salad' style of their past albums will hate this, as they've taken it to the extreme.

I agree with this, they do seem to just throw a load of riffs together. The songs don't stand out from each other, some riffs just seemed to be tossed in there to make time. Sceptors was written much better.

How many times have you listened to Symbols of Failure? It's definitely not an album that will appeal initially, because of the reasons you've given. But after awhile, the various parts start sinking in, and you view the song as a whole. From listening to Alpha Breed numerous times (as they had released that song way before the album), I can immediately tell it apart from the other songs... The same is already starting to become apparent with the other pieces, though I've only been listening to it for a few days.

I have put it through 2 runs so far, and I can see what you mean. I just don't feel like putting it on again, it was almost too much riffage going on.

Yeah, that was my exact feeling when I listened to that song. I thought it was killer at first but then it just got boring, with too much stuff going on and no feeling.
