Aside for the guitars (im gonna redo them,playing wise not the tone) and lack of vocals, what can i do to improve upon this?
Im not aiming for a shiny metal production mainly because im not that good (yet!), but any crits are definitely welcome

yes. tuning would be a good start.

There is something about the drums I don't particularly like. What kind of room where they recorded in?

I def like the vision and direction though. At The Drive In is amazing.

its addictive drums, since i dont have any real drums to work with i decided to start completely empty and do the drums myself (choice of kit EQ and stuff) ,as for room well, whatever XLN recorded them in
