Progarchives.com is currently streaming a teaser video for Italian bassist ALBERTO RIGONI's new album "Rebirth". The video previews six selections from the album, while showcasing ALBERTO's exemplary musicianship and talent. "Rebirth" will be released Monday May 23rd on Nightmare Records. View the video at: http://www.progarchives.com/video.asp?id=3648

"Rebirth" shows an extreme variety of tunes, some with voice and some instrumental. It's a union of experimental research blended with a solid backbone of melody. Music lovers around the world will want to witness his elegant simplicity to bring the bass instrument to the forefront without losing the rhythm and foundation of the music.

ALBERTO successfully combines prog-rock fusion with hard-rock ambience, creating a blend that suggests a poetic mix that is free from any defined genre yet remains memorable an even catchy

"Rebirth" also features contributions from a number of well-known musicians, including drummers Gavin Harrison (Porcupine Tree, King Krimson) John Macaluso (Ark, TNT, Yngwie Malmsteen), bassists Michael Manring and Yves Carbonne, Swedish singer Jonas Erixon (Alicate), guitarist Tommy Ermolli (Twinspirits) and Simone Mularoni (DGM, Empyrios), keyboard players Federico Solazzo (Alexia), Andrea Pavanello (Centrica), Filippo Lui and Emanuele Casali (DGM, Astra).

Born in Montebelluna (Treviso, Italy) in 1981, bass player ALBERTO RIGONI founded a well-known progressive-metal cover band, in 1998 called "Ascra", with drummer Enrico Buttol, performing mainly songs by Dream Theater. In 2003 he joined the emerging band Twinspirits (progressive rock metal), led by Daniele Liverani (Genius Rock Opera, Khymera, ex-Empty Tremor). The band's debut album "The Music That Will Heal The World" was released worldwide in 2007 by Finnish label Lion Music and received remarkable feedback. Besides Twinspirits" RIGONI composed his first solo album entitled "Something Different", released by Lion Music on February 15th 2008 with worldwide distribution. At the same time Alberto shot a video of his hit song "BASSex" (working with Italian company "Solingo Visual Arts") directed by Elia Cristofoli. The video was broadcast on some television networks such as RockTV.

2009 saw the release of the second Twinspirits album "The Forbidden City" on Lion Music. During this time period RIGONI also played bass as special guest on some tracks of Giani Rojatti's solo guitar album "Dolcetti Metal Beat" and scored some gear endorsements with great companies such as Aguilar Amplification, HipShot amongst others.

The following year RIGONI began work on what was to become "Rebirth". It was also at this time that he became involved with the band Mistheria and played bass on their album "Dragonfire". The all-star line-up of Mistheria included: John West, Mark Boals, Rob Rock, Titta Tani, Lance King on vocals, George Bellas, Roger Staffelbach, Emir Hot, Neil Zaza on guitars, ALBERTO RIGONI on bass and on the drums John Macaluso.

In 2011, Twinspirits released their third album "Legacy". It was at this time that ALBERTO signed with Nightmare Records. He is scheduled to release his sophomore solo album "Rebirth" on May 23rd, 2011. It was originally scheduled for May 24th, but pop queen Lady Gaga is putting out her new album that Monday May 23rd, so all Sony/Red and affiliated label releases will be coming out that day
