Pure Reason Revolution - Hammer & Anvil

Taking a listen now. I can't say I love it. But it sounds more interesting than Amor did after the first listen. I'll give it a few more spins though before I come to a final conclusion.

That said, I miss the days of "The Dark Third". That is far and away one of my favorite albums of all time. To this day I'm looking for them (or any other band for that matter) to make an album like it. Unbelievable piece of music.

The first disc was one of the top ten of the decade. The second, while entertaining, is NOTHING like the first one. I'm very curious to hear this.

And they totally slayed live at Nearfest a few years ago. I'd love to see them live again.

IMO, I think that's a good thing. I think their sound would have gone stale pretty quickly if it was "The Dark Third, Part 2".

I am looking forward to the new one, which I wouldn't have known about if it wasn't for this thread.

I was really bummed that I missed that NEARFest, but I had another commitment that weekend and there was no way I could go.
