Just dug this CASSETTE (I can't even remember how to spell cassette, is that right????) out from the darkest depths of my basement and converted to CD. Holy crap Prince rules!!!! Forgot how great this record is!!!
Prince is an absolute genius...sure, his mixing isn't the best, but he can RIP on any instrument, and is a phenomenal live performer...the Superbowl halftime show that Prince did is probably the best Superbowl halftime I have ever seen. It was mindblowing.
yeah, that soundtrack and the album with 1999 on it are pretty freakin' good. I'll have to check out purple rain again now.
I'm partial to a lot of 80s stuff though, having grown up in that era. I still get excited when I hear Huey Lewis and the News and Journey as I do with Whiplash, Kreator, Suffocation, etc...
That's from a OLD issue of Spin magazine right? I have that issue hanging around here somewhere.
I made myself a cloak and cowel After seeing Ihsahn in picture.
Oh and yes prince is totally awesome *puts on old Batman soundtrack tape*

I think so, I think it was this article. I had never heard of any of those bands at the time. I still think that the church burnings were wrong, no matter how much I believe that Christianity and all other religion is responsible for much of the evil in the world, it's ironic in the sense that it reduces the cause against religion to being just as bad as the religion itself. I've heard that Ihsahn feels similarly to me on this issue these days.
Hard to believe it was 12 years ago now, seems like an eternity since the heyday of Norwegian extremist black metal.
