Put up our first single today - can I haz ur feedbaks?

Hey guys! Well the last time I posted some demos I got some good feedback from you folks, so thought I'd share the single I put up on soundcloud today!

Guitars and bass are all direct, and drums are programmed (the typical "broke bedroom producer" setup, haha) but hopefully you'll enjoy the song and maybe just perhaps the mix/master too

Guitars sound low-gained and a bit boxy on my headphones. Bass could stand to come up a bit.

Cool, thanks man. I was going for a super clear tone (not too gainy sounding) on purpose, but point noted on the boxiness. Don't quite agree with the bass though haha cuz it's really loud in the mix! Then again it's mirroring the guitar at all times so it probably isn't standing out as a distinct entity... Thanks for listening though

Make sure your guitars are high-passed. That could be lending to the boxiness. The actual bass guitar track needs to come up.

The whole mix sounds a little far away (behind a pillow) but it's mainly the guitars.. so by making the guitars more immediate / in your face the rest could clean up with it... and the guitar accented bit at like 13 seconds and every time it's repeated after that sounds really slushy and undefined.. is that done on purpose? I get the impression it's supposed to be really tight and chuggy? Other than that it sounds pretty good man, nice job!

If you were heading for the cleaniness, take care of the 230-350hz area of your guitars, it's really fighting with the bass. That's the reason bass is lacking the NOTE and the guitars don't stand too much on their ground. The guitarsound itself i agree with you. Sounds pretty damn nice that it's low gained! Good job on that, and this song is FUCKING KILLING me, absolutely great shit!! Fucking titdig this.
