Question about Ibanez Tubescreamer TS5

Hey to Andy and everyone, i got some questions about this particular pedal. Saw this at a 2nd hand shop going for a very cheap price. But i have heard reviews saying that this pedal ain't that good. I wanna know how far off is it away from the TS9 or the TS808? Need some opinions on this... Thanxs!

It depends on how much of a purist you are, if it's really cheap, get it, you can always part ex it for a TS9 or preferably TS808. It will still do the job, but won't be as open as the 808. You get what you pay for with these things.

Thanxs Andy for the quick reply! Well, i was checking out modded Tubescreamers on the Analogman's website and i think he did a pretty impressive job on the modded tubescreamers.. Did for big acts like Metallica too.. and pretty reasonably priced too.. What's your take on this?
