Shane, i was just curious as to why Lance would be chosen to come with a band that has not released anything yet over his other band Pyramaze that everyone has been raving about. Don't get me wrong, Lance in any form is great, but it just struck me as a bit odd that even he himself wouldn't want to come with Pyramaze.

Hopefully you are in a position to shed some light on that; if not, I understand. Great job nonetheless!

Well ... I'm not Shane ... but I'll try to reply to this (since I'm the manager of both AVIAN and PYRAMAZE):

1) for the pre-party it's usually "unsigned" or smaller independant bands playing, (except of course the fact that Dreamscape and Orphaned Land are playing this year), so that makes it quite logic for Shane to chose a newcomer band over a bigger name. Why? Exposure for the newcomer bands, and of course budget (bigger names costs more).

2) the pre-party bands shouldn't compete with the ProgPower-bands.

3) Pyramaze is almost impossible to get together for one show in the US (seeing most of the band is Danish), except of course if it was on the big ProgPower stage, then they would do it :-)

4) Avian should have their debut album out by the time of the pre-party.

5) Besides, most of the Avian guys are local, and it makes sense to put them on the preparty, as they can provide backline to the other bands.

Be on the lookout for the Outworld shirts at the Nightmare booth. Or if you see Claus stumbling around, he might have a few stuffed somewhere as well.

What? Are you saying that I'm gonna be so drunk I will be stumbling around the place? Well - you're probably right about that :dopey:

However, I doubt I'll be stuffing anything of yours anywhere on/in my body. Pervert! :yuk:
