Question for the musicians in the audience

I caught about half an hour of Britney Spears' Live in Miami special this weekend (don't ask about reasons why) and I noticed that she has some pretty killer musicians working with her, even though they are not exactly featured in any way. She is not the only one, I remember Michael Jackson having some pretty good musicans touring with him also Janet Jackson touring with Omar Hakim and others.

Would you accept to make lots of money to tour and put your music career on hold to tour with a major artist? If not, why?

well, if the music was at least fun to play... i probably would. just because your a musicain with indie ideals doesn't mean you can't make money.

i mean, as long as you didn't have to sign a contract or something.

fyi- a lot of the people who play on write on all those huge pop albums are swedes. they have some sort of mega-pop factory set up for that shit it seems.

musicians gotta pay the bills. you do what ya gotta do.

Since Britney came up, I saw her on SNL one time and the drummer had a massive sound barrier set up in front of him (those plexiglass types), and when he did a huge fill with a few cymbal crashes at the end...? Wasn't heard. She was probably lip syncing, too.
