Question for Val

A seven string guitar just incorporates a lower octave A if I am not mistaken. If you can play a 6 string, you can play a 7 or 8 or 12.

It incorporates B on a seven string and on 8 string it would be F#. Now this is only like this with the E standard tuning.

Thanks Val, I never really looked much into 7 strings, 6 have always been plenty enough for me.

Scar Symmetry uses 8 string guitars?? This is news to me. I flipping love that band.

They only use them (the 8 string guitar) entirely in one song, and in some sections of other to or three songs of their recent CD (which i really recommend, its amazing)

if im not wrong, MoS was tunned in Eb(D#), if you tune down an 8 strings one step and a half, you'll have (a lower.......and heavier) Eb

hahahahaah, well, it would be something original

im kind of a fan of the heavy/brutal guitars + melodic vocals (nevermore, evergrey etc)

laying the demon to rest would be a good example of what im talking
