What do you think of the song "Time Traveller"?

I have no idea why it didn't make it on Asylum. Would have been the best song on there. I reckon its probably among the 5 best Kiss songs EVER! Without a doubt actually. For me, its right up there with Reason To Live & Creatures Of The Night which I reckon are their 2 best songs.

Close but no cigar BGK :). Time Traveller was a Crazy Nights era demo that in Paul's words "didn't fit the personality of the album" and so wasn't used. It ended up as one of three songs Paul used to try and get himself a publishing deal writing songs for other people. The others were Don't Let Go and Best Man For You.

TT is a good song that would be even better if not for the keyboards. When it comes to KISS, I'd rather hear a crunchy guitar riff than than sort of thing any day. Yes everyone was doing it in the 80s, but this is KISS we're talking about. They're supposed to set trends, not follow them .

But I digress. Time Traveller is okay, but I'd rather have heard Sword and Stone instead. What a monster hit that one could have been!

Yeah that sounds right too Wraith. Sounds very Crazy Nights era - and to my ears would have been a killer on that album.

Sword and Stone, that was covered by Loveboy guitarist Paul Dean - Hard Core album from memory. Ive got the vinyl of that somewhere. Also appeared on the Shocker soundtrack too - Bonfire I'm pretty sure. I probably prefer that version best.

With Simmons releasing a solo album I more so look forward to a Paul Stanley solo effort. So many false starts on this its a long time coming.

I think it would've been a killer on that album too. And no way it would've been better without the keyboards, the keyboards sound awesome on that song! :headbang:

I can't wait for a Paul Stanley solo album either. One of the best singers & songwriters in rock. Gene's solo album no doubt will suck balls.

He should hire out Bedknobs & Broomsticks. There are some great songs in that one. If I don't see the track "Substitutiary Locomotion" on there then I won't be a happy man!

He should do Hakuna Mattata, I can just picture that idiot hamming it up while trying to sing it :headbang:

Were thinking alike on the Simmons factor Troops. I hate to think what thats gonna be like. I usually dig the Stanley songs on Kiss albums more so.

And speaking of the Shocker soundtrack - how good is that Dudes of Wrath song with Stanley singing the harmony. Written by Desmond Child, Jean Beauvoir of Crown of Thorns & Guy Mann-Dude.

I have a theory that Guy Mann-Dude is none other than Bruce Kulick. They just gave him a silly pseudonym so no-one would notice.

"We will have the power, we will have the glory..." :headbang:

Excellent stuff. Pity the soundtrack's so much better than the film. Wes Craven is capable of far greater things.

I haven't heard that song! I'll have to!

Between Paul Stanley, Desmond Child & Jean Beauvior (How awesome are Crown of Thorns?!?) there's a shitload of talent happening there!

Naah hes an actual person. Hes done some stuff with Alice Cooper and Cooper sings on his album too.

Agree really bad name for an artist.
And speaking of alias' for those that didnt know Desmond Child also goes under the name Sir Arthur Payson for production duties.

Serious? Hahaha thats a shockin' name too!

Imagine calling yourself "Sir" hahaha. Next thing you know some dingbat will come along and call himself Lord something
