I was 9-10 my friend's brother was listening Venom, Accept, Iron Maiden, etc. I liked them and copied those cassettes. When I was 13 I heard first time Emperor and then started my blackmetal period.

I went from AM radio (elementary school & junior high) to FM radio (high school) to metal (young adulthood & on) & the rest is history.

It`s crazy.... but I can`t imagine my life without metal.....It`s a very important part of my life, because it gives me the daily courage for to keep alive....

I dunno.... somewhere in the very early 80's... probably 81-82. Judas Priest, Metallica and Slayer.

It was just something new to me... just liked it... haven't really questioned myself to the why of it though.
