Quick Cymbal Sample Processing Question

Been wanting to try using the cymbal samples that were uploaded to the forum awhile back but I'm not sure of the best way to process them as I've always done it in Slate.

Would I set it up as a new instrument do all my processing / panning on the track and then send them to an aux to try to get the room reverb sound also?

I don't own any replacement software so I'll just be cutting each hit. Anyone also have a decent inexpensive suggestion for a replacement program?

the best thing to do is to buy a good drum machine like ezdrummer/superior drummer etc.

You cannot load your own samples into either of those.


and you'd process them like you would with any other OH track.
