Some sad news...Roach lost his battle with cancer on Saturday. Total bummer, but I'm glad I got a chance to see him one last time at the Metro a few weeks back.

christ... and he was rocking out as recently as the 13th... most people in the condition he was in wouldn't even bother to leave the house. i wish more people were as dedicated as he was.

He was a good dude, I can remember as far back as the late Eighties seeing him play around town in The Plague. Later I got to be friends with him when his band Lungbrush would play shows with my old band. Last time I spoke to him at any length was when he came to see ND play a show in Chicago back in '06. He was always entertaining and full of energy, and was a total natural when it came to being a frontman for a band. It's a real shame to hear that he succumbed to his illness, he'll be missed.
