Randall-Cab "Mic-eliminator"-output?!?

hey guys!
i´ve heard about this Randall cabinet outputs that simulate a miced Cabinet.Someone ever tried that and recorded with it?i´m really curious how it sounds. looks like that:

I wouldn't count on it sounding impressive Probably like a sansamp or maybe palmer pdi with speaker sim.

Yeah, experience (both my own and reading other people's) has taught me that any cab/mic "simulation" is just meant to be a compromise for convenience (especially live), not a genuine substitute for a mic

the palmer/motherload ones are pretty impressive, but impulses go further than that.

Yes, Mike is using Randall heads as well as cabs, and can be seen in the Randall ad in this month's Revolver magazine among others.

On the candlemass tour their FOH guy (who is honestly the best I've ever witnessed) used the cheap berringer model and mixed it with the mic'd sound. It sounded great.
