.rar extractor

can anyone recommend me a good .rar extractor thats free? for mac or pc would work.

7zip works on .rar's I think.

It does indeed, and is completely freeware. It also supports a ton of other formats. My favorite archiver thus far for Windows.

Another 7zip user here... If this thing would support .ace, it would be perfect.

I use winrar, it's kind of like reaper in that you can use the "demo" forever. I bought it, just for the record.

If it wasn't proprietary, it would probably be easier to support.

EDIT: 7zip, that is... use open source, why bother with trial versions?
