RATT's new album...

I don't see it that way. Ratt is just Ratt; that's what they sound like.

What could they do to be more "2010", start doing breakdowns or Nickleback type stuff? I would laugh at them. I want more of what they do best.
+111111111111111 still got the original cassette tapes from 1985:kickass:

me and Nick Barker have a theory that all thrash guys were closet Ratt fans because of the guitar tone and Crosbys king V's. Its nothing to be ashamed of. I remember saying I like winger on a radio station in NY in 1990 and getting looks of disbelief lol.

you might be right about that ...

I can think of several thrash guitarists (including me, even though I'm not a total thrash guy) that actually really really dig Ratt but never admit it in public unless we know we're in safe company :D

Yeah, i used to be all old-school thrash, played in a few thrash bands; one kind of like Tankard, and one kind of like a crossbreed between early Kreator and Slayer.

Then my friend showed me Dokken, Ratt, Cinderella and Winger, and now im stuck.

Good music is good music. ;)

It's a great sounding album - Warren has always been a great guitarist and for the few here who posted about it sounding old and 80's sounding - as has already been said - it sounds like Ratt, just like all AC/DC sounds like..... well - AC/DC. Good music is just good music - it will find it's way through.

Well...after giving it a listen, I really like it. Except for one thing: I want my 80's big drum sounds...not this ultra tight drum sound. Other than that...I like this. And Carlos Cavazo along side Warren? Interesting combo! :)
