I thought I'd try aptrigga a try and it wipes drumagog out when it comes to mixing samples with real sounds. Just sounds more natural. I went back and tried it on an old project with just drums using the Dan kit from SSD. This is NOT metal but was for a rock/80's rock type of song so don't expect pounding drums. They are also unquantized and you'll be able to tell! Raw and nice for the song's style. How's the after effects sound? Suggestions for later projects are always welcome~!

I hear some flamming from the original and samples not hitting at the same time...Does the first clip have drumagog on it? APtrigga seems to have less of the flamming delay, but both have it. Do you have the align box checked in drumagog?

No drumagog, same triggering on both clips, one is just effected and mixed other is not. Probably is some flamming. Since I'm not actually using it for anything, I didn't really clean it up for mistriggering lol. Yes, lazy.

you have to print the aptrigga'd track and move it so the samples align (other than with drumagog just looking at ONE sample is enough....you still have to move that sampletrack though....just to get rid of some time offset on the sampletrack.

cool test would be:

print the APTR track and move it so the first hits are in phase...don't look at the rest...
do the same with drumagog.

you'll see how the drumagog tracks will be early sometimes and sometimes late, causing flams...with drumagog you have to phase align every single sample (if you're outta luck)....with aptrigga just one
