Read about your favorite Suspyre band member!

OK, just read through it all and I am impressed with the training everyone has gone through, or is still going through.

And Clay, one day we will hang out and knock back a few of those exotic beers. I love to try micro brews and imports. Tonight I am enjoying a few from my 12 pack of Saranac. It's a mixed pack - 2 each of 6 different beers. Ahhh, good stuff.

This has been public for less than a day and I've already updated mine. I decided to actually put a list of my favorite pieces of music, and I added the Gibson Robot to my guitar arsenal. If you never want to worry about tuning again, you must own this guitar.

Jeff was telling me about the Robot the other night.. Good god there are no words for something that amazing. however it does make me worry about a terminator like future... only there will be less and less musicians.. anyway great addition Gregg and great job on the bio's.

There have been plenty of Saranac variety packs in my fridge over the last year...damn I love beer.

:kickass:

My wife's uncle has introduced me to a lot of good stuff over the years. He's my drinking buddy. Nearly everytime he comes to my house he brings a couple of bottles or 6 packs, and maybe some steaks to freeze for our next "beef and ale" night. Free food, free beer, and he sorta likes the same music as I do (he's more of a classic rock fan but he does like Dream Theater and similar bands, like Suspyre!). Good combo.

See! Beer and Prog Metal...I've been telling Gregg and Rich that they are the perfect combo. They just don't believe me. Oh well...it's their loss.

I read through all the bio stuff, and it was interesting-ish. Also, finding out that someone else knows about the existence of freak kitchen is kind of comforting. Haha. High five mr. Gregg sir.

Beatboxing would be kind of amusing.

Also, uh, babaloo. SPEAKING OF BEATBOXING. There is this band that has a beatboxing song. On this album. It's pretty silly. It's a cool band. They are best described as jazz/metal/gypsy music/other/avant-garde/etc

They call themselves estradasphere.

I think various people in the band/forum would find this band to be, how they say, 'pretty sweet.'

Sorry if I went off on a random tangent there.

I, too, am familiar with Freak Kitchen. Interesting band, to say the least.

I happen to be the one who made Gregg aware of the FK...I've been a fan for several years. Love em.

Clay

Yep, I remember when Clay first played me them; I think it was that song "Heroin Breakfast." It was the solo that did it for me. Mattias is so creative!

Their songs in general are really interesting and funny too. A lot of people think they're just poppy, but most of it is in odd meters and the chord choices are really out there, things that you don't notice unless you really listen to it.

I've only really heard their newest 2 albums, Move and Organic. For me, the song that makes me chuckle the most is "independent way of life."

But I agree, definitely more complex than it seems at first. Yarr.

Oh no, you must hear their older stuff now! I honestly don't care for Organic; I find the songs to be on the annoying side. Move is great, as is their self-titled, which is the most diverse out of any of them.
