Ready to release?

The vocals are bright as hell. At first I thought it might just be the lead vocal track, but the dude backing tracks have like an unnecessary amount of air to them. 15khz and above is a bit much. Least from where I'm listening. Anyone else hearing what I'm getting?

Aye, sounds like the vocals are saturating at the highest frequencies. Like Vintage Warmer being over-used or something.

Nothing special going on in the vocal chain. LA-2A and a bit of eq but no high shelving - only cuts.
Maybe it´s a little bit too much boosting of high ends in the mastering chain (and maybe even too much limiting - finalizer clipper at 8db...).
I guess if the cd will be released we´ll ask someone else to master it.

BTW, the myspace version was only a pre version as I did some changes after putting it on myspace.

Do you think the guitars and drums sound weak?

I thought it sounded fine, but I can't listen very closely at the moment. If there are things that need changing though it's just minor things, the mix as a whole is just fine I would say.

Thanks for your help guys!
I´ll see if I can do something with the vocals. Maybe I´ll start a mastering competition as well.
But this will take some time.

I'm hearing that as well, it gets annoying to listen to that again and again, definitely needs to be tamed.

First of all ...good music! I like the previews.

The vocals in the second version doesn't bite as much as the first one. Here and than they still sound a bit rough compared to the very round and smooth instrumental part. But could be the girls voice. She has a very aggressive in-your-face singing style. Maybe you should leave that as a trademark.
