really need help, deleted audio recovery.

So im working in Nuendo and I copied and pasted over audio from one track into a mixing track (I tried creating a mixing template file), and then deleted the parts once I had a rough image of how the track would sound mixed. Unfortunately after that I emptied the pool, by empty, I mean, erased the trash. Now the files from the original track are gone, like, gone gone. Ive not closed the mixing template, is there anyway to 'undo' this erase?? Or are they gone completely??

Help would be really really appreciated!

only thing you could possibly do is use a data recovery program, but if new info was written over the existing data, you can never get it back...

I tried a data recove program,... found lots of files, none of the ones I needed,... looks like im going to have to get the guys back in and blame in on "you know, it was probably just some computer thing, shit happens" instead of my trigger happy right index finger. Nightmare! Thanks though guys.
