Hey,

So today i replaced a kick and something was sounding odd, so I zoomed in and the new replaced kick wasn't inline with the original.

Has anyone had this problem with DrumReaplacer?

Also, does anyone have any trouble with it when trying to replace fast snare rolls or fast double kick stuff?

I think I may just have to settle with using the original snare and kick track as DrumReaplacer really isn't cutting it for this track, which sucks quite a bit.

Cheers,
Ionei.

Thats what I've been doing but its still out.

Looks like I am going to just have to bite the bullet and quantize the replaced track, hopefully i won't kill myself before its done.
I really hope tomorrow i don't wake up and hate the kick i am replacing it with or I'm screwed haha.

I really fucking need to buy trigger, too bad the demos not working for me :(

I tried downloading this plugin and cant seem to get it to work properly. The instructions say to copy the folders into Reaper/Data and Reaper/Effects, but my folders are listed as Reaper/InstallData and Reaper/FX. I even created new folders and named them accordingly but still nothing. Is this basically like Dumagog, where I can take an already recorded drum track and replace kicks and snares?

I personally love the reaper drum replacer and never had a problem with it. Maybe your sample is cut too far left?

Yeah Reaplacer is quite good, in fact in tests I did it came out as more phase accurate than both apTrigga and Trigger. It is a CPU hog though unfortunately because of the JS platform and no proper GUI makes it much more challenging to tweak properly compared to Trigger.

Yeah, I prefer it over drumagog. I guess its all about what you're comfortable with. I normally freeze the tracks and bypass it as soon as i'm done with it anyway. I would like a very subtle GUI though and why the hell can't you just load a sample rather than having to keep all your samples in the reaper folder?

Just another limitation of the JS platform, it's a very simple stripped down Reaper-specific text editor style coding language and doesn't allow for that sort of functionality so Jonas who coded it sort of has to just make due with what he's given.

I had the same problem. It turns out you have to place the files in the "documents and settings/{username}/applicationdata/reaper/data|effects" folder and it works.

Ehhh sorry to bump a necro thread. Was working on replacing some kicks last night, and came across the same problem with Reaplacer. It worked great the entire song, until a fast double kick part at the end, where it just stuttered randomly. Tweaked the threshold for a long time, and I just could not get it to trigger the hits properly. But....I think the track I was given was compressed, so I may be getting bleed, causing it to freak out. All the hits look solid on the raw track, so.....*scratches head*. Would really like to not have to go back through and edit by hand.

EDIT: After more tweaking, I figured out the fast double kick issue - it was the Retrigger Interval......

But now, I run into this nightmare.....

When I blend the sampled (printed) kick track with the raw track, they are out of phase and I'm losing low end. So, I flipped phase on the triggered track and printed it again. The waveform is 180 degrees flipped, but the sound is still out of phase unless I flip the phase AGAIN on the printed (and phase inverted) track. WTF?!?!!
