Reason 4 -> 3

I have a project for class I worked on in Reason 4 at home. However, in class, we use Reason 3. Is there any way to save my file in such a way that it will work in Reason 3?

Not sure. Maybe just not use thor or the arpegiator?

As far as i'm aware, no. you definitely can't open a project you saved normally in reason 4 in reason 3. but you obviously knew that.

Any way to just save the parts?

(save the midi files and the patches for the devices)

no. Reason is not backwards compatible

you could save the midi file in reason 4, quickly set up similar intruments in reason 3 (if it's not too complicated) then open the midi file in reason 3. i think some patches are transferable.
