Recommendation: Desaster - Angelwhore (2005)

It was very hard trying to come up with an album that most of you probably never have heard.

Desaster has been a favourite of mine ever since I saw them at Wacken 2001. Their latest album is

This german band has been around since 1988 and released 5 albums since 1996 and a lot of split vinyls. They have a clear oldschool vibe and play dirty black tinged thrash/heavy metal. This is not a 9/10 record but perhaps an 8/10. For fans of Deströyer 666 and similar bands.

"Hellfire's Dominion" is a slamfest. I need to hear this one, would you say it's better? I've read quite a few reviews saying it's a step backwards. Although how you can differentiate between good old-scchool booze thrash black fun metal and bad old-scchool booze thrash black fun metal is a little beyond me.

Not to steal any thunder from this recommendation, but if you're going to seek out this band, get Hellfire's Dominion first.
