Recommendation for a pretty good, cheap card/interface

I'm looking for a decent interface for my other guitarist to record DIs for solos on his own computer. I'm familiar with the higher end converters (I have a FF800...not a Lavry, but good enough ), so I don't really know what's out there now. My old DAW had an M-Audio 1010lt, which was okay. Would that be sufficient, or are there better [lower end] options available these days?

Yeah, I used an Audiophile 2496 in my Dad's old PIII 1 GHz compy and got ~2.5 ms input latency no problem, so that's the highest praise I can give!
